Lord Malachar Voss is the supreme commander of the vampire legions and the primary architect of the current phase of the vampire-werewolf war. Ancient, calculating, and possessed of military genius that his enemies have consistently underestimated, he is the central antagonist of the vampire faction's story arc and one of the most dangerous individuals in Aeternum. Encountering him directly in the early game is inadvisable.

He rose to supremacy within the vampire court through a combination of strategic brilliance and the systematic elimination of rivals who mistook his patience for weakness. The Great Purge — the vampire campaign that drove the werewolves from the lowland territories three decades ago — was his design and his masterwork.
