Faction Recruiter Dane is the primary point of contact for new players choosing their faction alignment, operating from the Dark Forest with the persuasive energy of someone who genuinely believes in what he is selling and has sold it to enough people to have refined his approach significantly. He represents both factions simultaneously and treats the recruitment as a matching service rather than a competition.
Background & History
Dane was employed by the vampire faction for eight years before being approached by the werewolf faction with a competing offer. He accepted both simultaneously, reasoning that his role was to ensure new arrivals made informed faction choices rather than to provide either faction with a recruitment advantage. Both factions accepted this arrangement after extended negotiation — he is too effective at his job to lose to the other side, and too principled to be corrupted into one-sided recruitment.
