🐺 Alpha Bloodmane Kael

Overview

Alpha Bloodmane Kael is the war-chief of the seven werewolf packs, the highest military authority in werewolf society, and the individual responsible for holding the confederation together through the current phase of the war against the vampires. Scarred from over a hundred engagements, he leads from the front and has survived everything the vampire legions have sent against him. He is the primary heroic figure of the werewolf faction's story arc.

Background & History

Kael united the seven packs through force of personality as much as force of arms, overcoming a century of inter-pack rivalry to forge a unified military command. He lost his first pack — the Bloodmane — to a vampire ambush that he survived only through circumstances he describes as luck and others describe as tactical genius. The loss drove him to consolidate the remaining packs under a single command structure, a political achievement that had defeated every previous attempt. He carries a particular personal hatred for Lord Malachar Voss, who ordered the ambush, and the war for Kael is ultimately a personal matter wrapped in political necessity.

Direct, intensely loyal to those who have earned his trust, and physically incapable of backing down from a confrontation that matters to him. He does not despise vampires as a species but holds their current leadership in absolute contempt.
