Base Stats Comparison
At character creation, both races receive the same total stat points — but distributed differently. This creates natural specialization tendencies rather than hard limitations:
| Stat | Vampire Base | Werewolf Base | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| HP | 80 | 100 | Werewolves have 25% more base HP |
| STR | 12 | 15 | Werewolves deal more raw melee damage |
| DEX | 15 | 10 | Vampires have higher crit/dodge base |
| DEF | 10 | 14 | Werewolves tank more physical hits |
| LCK | 13 | 11 | Vampires have better item find luck |
| Lifesteal | 5% | 2% | Vampires recover more HP per hit |
These base differences are amplified by skills — Vampire skills scale DEX further, Werewolf skills push STR and HP. By level 50, the gap between a built Vampire and built Werewolf in their respective specializations is significant.
Skill Trees: Vampire vs Werewolf
Vampire Skills (V1–V50)
- Blood Drain — lifesteal active skill
- Shadow Veil — dodge buff (3 rounds)
- Crimson Strike — critical hit amplifier
- Bat Form — escape/repositioning
- Blood Frenzy — attack speed stacking
- Hypnotic Gaze — stun chance PvP skill
- Unholy Regeneration — HP regen per round
- Eternal Night — event damage modifier
Werewolf Skills (W1–W50)
- Feral Rage — STR burst active
- Iron Hide — DEF buff (5 rounds)
- Pack Bond — clan synergy bonus
- Moon Howl — fear effect in PvP
- Crushing Blow — stun on hit chance
- Alpha Aura — AoE damage reduction
- Berserker Heal — HP restored on kill
- Full Moon Blessing — event multiplier
Vampire skills favor finesse and sustained combat — they do less burst damage but maintain HP through lifesteal and build critical hit streaks. Werewolf skills favor burst and survivability — they hit harder upfront and take more punishment.
PvP Performance in 2026
In the current 2026 PvP meta, Vampires hold a slight edge at the Grand Legend tier. The reason: DEX scaling at high levels makes DEX Vampires almost impossible to hit consistently, and lifesteal sustain makes extended fights favor Vampires. The S-tier PvP builds on the current tier list are 3 Vampire, 1 Werewolf.
However, Werewolves dominate the mid-ELO bracket (Silver through Diamond) because burst damage wins fights before lifesteal makes a difference. Many players who reached Grand Legend did so on Werewolf STR builds by overwhelming opponents before sustain kicked in.
CURRENT META (APRIL 2026)
Vampire DEX Lifesteal: S-tier. Vampire Shadow DEX: A-tier. Werewolf STR Burst: A-tier. Werewolf Iron Pelt Tank: B-tier. All builds are viable from Bronze–Platinum. Meta matters most at Diamond+.
PvE & Dungeon Efficiency
For pure dungeon grinding and gold farming, Werewolves are more efficient in most content. Higher HP means less healing item consumption, and STR-based one-shot builds clear D1–D7 content faster when measured by runs per hour.
The exception: Vampires with Blood Drain + Unholy Regeneration can run D8–D9 without using healing items at all — the lifesteal fully compensates for incoming damage. This makes the cost-per-run significantly lower for Vampires in high-tier dungeons.
| Content | Vampire Edge | Werewolf Edge |
|---|---|---|
| D1–D7 Speed Runs | — | Faster clears, less HP pool needed |
| D8–D9 Efficiency | Near-zero healing costs via lifesteal | — |
| D10 / Mythic+ | Lifesteal sustain in long fights | Higher HP buffer for boss phases |
| Infinity Tower 80+ | Nightmare Scythe + lifesteal OP | Tank builds last longer per floor |
| World Boss | — | Burst damage → higher contribution % |
| Gold Farming (work) | Equal | Equal |
Endgame & Prestige Scaling
Both races scale well through all 5 Prestige levels. The key difference at endgame: Vampires scale exponentially with DEX investment — DEX provides critical hit chance, dodge, AND attack speed at Prestige levels. Werewolves scale more linearly but get a powerful Prestige 3 bonus: +25% HP per Prestige level, creating tank builds with 10,000+ HP at P5.
The very best Infinity Tower clears (floor 100+) are Vampires using the DEX Lifesteal build — the self-sustaining nature means they don't time out on floor timers. The very best World Boss damage records are Werewolves using P4–P5 STR builds with Eclipse Greatsword.
Eclipse War & Faction Identity
Your race choice is permanent and determines your faction in the Eclipse War. This matters socially as much as mechanically:
- Vampire faction — historically the dominant Eclipse War winner (won 7 of the last 12 months). Known for coordinated PvP clans and high Grand Legend player concentration.
- Werewolf faction — underdog by player count but wins are more impactful individually. Werewolves punch above their weight in Eclipse War through burst-focused attack clusters.
If you're joining with friends, choose the same faction — fighting for the same side in Eclipse War and coordinating clan wars requires matching race.
Final Verdict: Which Should You Choose?
Choose Vampire if:
You want to climb PvP rankings, enjoy sustained combat and lifesteal mechanics, prefer DEX/dodge builds, plan to farm D8–D9 efficiently, or aim for Infinity Tower high scores.
Choose Werewolf if:
You prefer raw power fantasy, want the highest burst damage in fights, plan to play as a tank, are focused on clan play and the Pack Bond bonus, or enjoy being the underdog in Eclipse War.
Both races are equally viable at every content tier. The "weaker" race in any given meta shifts with patches. What matters more: your build execution, gear quality, and how well you understand the systems. Choose the race whose fantasy resonates with you — you'll play it better for it.
Which Side Will You Choose?
The eternal war between Vampires and Werewolves rages in Aeternum. Your choice is permanent — choose wisely.
