The World of Aeternum: Two Ancient Factions

Long before the first human drew breath, two immortal races carved their dominion into the dark continent of Aeternum. Vampires, the Children of Eternal Night, mastered shadow and blood magic, feeding on the living to sustain their immortality. Werewolves, the Sworn of the Moon, drew their power from the wild — the pack, the hunt, the fury of transformation. For millennia these races kept an uneasy truce. That truce is now shattered.

In Vampires vs. Werewolves, your race is not cosmetic. It shapes your stats, your skills, your crafting options, and how other players interact with you. Choosing wrong is painful — choose well, and Aeternum bends to your will.

Stat Comparison: Vampires vs. Werewolves

Playing as a Vampire

Strengths

Vampire Advantages
  • Highest critical hit potential in the game
  • Life steal keeps you alive in long fights
  • Shadow abilities provide mobility and burst
  • Alchemy Station unlocks magic-infused gear
  • LCK bonus improves item drop rates
  • Excellent solo PvE and 1v1 PvP
Vampire Weaknesses
  • Lower base Vitality — fragile early game
  • No pack synergy; weakest in large group PvP
  • Magic gear requires rare alchemy materials
  • Shadow abilities have higher AP cost

Best Vampire Builds

  • Shadow Assassin: Max LCK + DEX. Stack crit gear from the Alchemy Station. Burst enemies down before they can react. Excels in 1v1 PvP and D1–D5 dungeons.
  • Blood Sustain: Balance STR + VIT with life steal skills maxed. You outlast everything. Ideal for farming D5–D8 dungeons solo.
  • Drain Caster: Focus on shadow ability damage. High AP investment pays off in boss fights with multiple shadow ability chains.
PRO TIP

Vampires benefit enormously from the Blood Echo passive skill at level 5. Combined with Alchemy Station rare-tier gear, your life steal can exceed 12% — making you nearly unkillable in sustained combat.

Playing as a Werewolf

Strengths

Werewolf Advantages
  • Highest HP pool in the game at all levels
  • Pack bonuses make clans extremely powerful
  • Transformation ability provides burst windows
  • Forge crafts strongest physical armor
  • Moon abilities synergize with login streaks
  • Best for group PvP and clan warfare
Werewolf Weaknesses
  • Lower LCK — fewer lucky drops and crits
  • Pack bonuses require active clan membership
  • Solo performance weaker than Vampires
  • Heavy Forge materials costly to farm

Best Werewolf Builds

  • Iron Wall Tank: Max VIT + STR. Equip Forge-crafted plate armor. Become the front line in clan PvP — no one kills you first. Perfect for D6–D10 dungeon groups.
  • Pack Alpha: Moderate STR, max pack-synergy skills. Your buffs elevate the entire clan in battles. Most impactful role in large-scale PvP.
  • Moon Berserker: Time your Transformation cooldown with Blood Moon events. Devastating burst damage windows every 20 levels.
PRO TIP

Create or join a clan as soon as you hit level 5 (clan creation requires 500 gold). Werewolf pack bonuses only activate within your registered clan group — solo Werewolves miss their biggest advantage.

Which Race Should You Choose?

Quick Playstyle Quiz

Answer these questions to find your ideal faction:

How do you prefer to play RPGs?
Solo, calculated — I like to plan every move and burst enemies down VAMPIRE
With friends — strength in numbers, clan warfare, team fights WEREWOLF
What's your preferred combat style?
Glass cannon — high risk, massive crits, life steal to stay alive VAMPIRE
Sustained brawler — outlast opponents with raw HP and regen WEREWOLF
What aspect of progression excites you most?
Rare drops, critical hit streaks, magic-infused weapons from alchemy VAMPIRE
Forging heavy armor, building a powerful clan, dominating group PvP WEREWOLF
What's your dungeon preference?
Solo farming D1–D7, speed-clearing for rare items VAMPIRE
Group-clearing D6–D10 with clanmates for legendary drops WEREWOLF

Race-Restricted Content

Some dungeons, quests, and crafting recipes are race-restricted. Vampires gain exclusive access to Alchemy Station shadow gear recipes and the Shadow Vale elite quest line. Werewolves unlock Forge legendary plate recipes and the Moon Sanctum challenge dungeons. Both paths lead to endgame power — just through different routes.

Can You Change Race?

No — your race is permanent. In Aeternum, you are born into your blood or your pack. The only way to experience the other race's content is to create a second character. Choose wisely, but know that both races are viable at all content levels. The meta favors neither; your playstyle determines your power.

VERDICT

Choose Vampire if you want high crit, life steal, solo play mastery, and magic crafting. Choose Werewolf if you want maximum survivability, clan dominance, group PvP power, and the strongest physical armor in the game.
