The Two Crafting Stations
Crafting in Vampires vs. Werewolves is split between two distinct stations, each tied to a race's core identity. You can access your crafting station from the main navigation menu once you've completed the tutorial.
- Crafts physical weapons and heavy armor
- Materials: Iron Ore, Steel Ingots, Wolf Hide, Moonstone
- Specializes in STR and VIT gear
- Legendary tier: Mythril and Blood Iron alloys
- Best for tanks and pack fighters
- Crafts shadow weapons and magic-infused armor
- Materials: Shadow Essence, Blood Crystal, Nightshade, Void Dust
- Specializes in STR, LCK, and life steal gear
- Legendary tier: Void-touched and Eternal Blood items
- Best for assassins and critical-hit builds
| Feature | Forge (Werewolf) | Alchemy Station (Vampire) |
|---|---|---|
| Access requirement | Werewolf race + level 1 | Vampire race + level 1 |
| Primary stat output | STR, VIT, DEF | STR, LCK, life steal |
| Material source | D1–D10 ore/hide drops | D1–D10 essence/crystal drops |
| Craft time | Instant (common–rare) / 1h (epic+) | Instant (common–rare) / 2h (epic+) |
| Race-locked items | Yes — cannot be worn by Vampires | Yes — cannot be worn by Werewolves |
Race-restricted crafted items cannot be traded, gifted, or worn by the opposing race. This is by design — your crafting station is an extension of your racial identity, not a general production line.
How to Unlock Crafting Recipes
When you first access your crafting station, only Common-tier recipes are available. Here's the full unlock progression:
- Common recipes: Available from the start. No unlock required.
- Uncommon recipes: Unlocked automatically at level 5. Reward: first crafting quest completion.
- Rare recipes: Unlocked at level 15. Some rare recipes require completing the "Artisan Awakening" quest chain (3 quests, unlocked at level 12).
- Epic recipes: Unlocked at level 30 + completing the "Master Craftsman" challenge. Requires 5 crafted rare items as proof of skill.
- Legendary recipes: Unlocked at level 60 + completing the Endgame Crafting quest. Requires materials only found in D9–D10.
Some rare and epic recipes also drop from dungeon bosses as scrolls. These are not part of the standard unlock tree — check the boss drop tables for D5+ dungeons. Rare recipe scrolls from D5 bosses can unlock otherwise gated items early.
Best Items to Craft by Tier
Common Tier (Levels 1–9)
Common crafted gear is 15–20% better than tutorial drops at equivalent level. Focus on your primary weapon slot — it has the highest impact on your early damage output.
- Forge: Iron Sword (weapon), Wolf-Pelt Vest (chest armor)
- Alchemy: Shadow Dagger (weapon), Nightshade Cloak (chest armor)
Uncommon Tier (Levels 5–14)
Uncommon gear introduces set bonuses for the first time. Crafting two pieces of the same set activates a 2-piece bonus. Always prioritize completing a 2-piece set over mixing unmatched items.
- Forge: Steel Gauntlets (2-piece set bonus: +8 STR), Moonstone Pendant (accessory)
- Alchemy: Blood Crystal Ring (crit +5%), Shadow Vest (life steal +2%)
Rare Tier (Levels 15–29)
Rare tier is where crafting truly separates serious players from casuals. A full rare set is 35% stronger than any shop item in the same level range. Rare materials are farmable from D3–D5 consistently.
- Forge: Forge-Tempered Plate (full set: 4-piece, massive DEF), Pack-Alpha Axe (weapon, pack bonus +10%)
- Alchemy: Crimson Veil (armor, life steal +6%), Void-Edge Blade (weapon, shadow damage +18%)
Epic Tier (Levels 30–59)
Epic items fundamentally change a character's playstyle. Each epic item has a unique proc effect that triggers in combat. These are the gear pieces you'll use for 20+ levels before upgrading to legendary.
- Forge: Berserker's War Hammer (proc: +50% STR for 2 turns on kill), Ironwolf Full Plate (proc: reflect 15% physical damage)
- Alchemy: Eternal Crimson Blade (proc: steal 15% HP on crit), Void Shroud (proc: 20% dodge chance when HP below 30%)
Legendary Tier (Level 60+)
Legendary items are the pinnacle of crafting. Each requires materials exclusively from D9–D10 and takes 4–8 hours to craft. A single legendary item can define an entire build.
- Forge: Mythril Colossus Armor (highest DEF in game, set: reduces all incoming damage by 10%), Blood Iron Greatsword (pack synergy proc: +30% damage when 3+ clanmates are in dungeon)
- Alchemy: Void-Touched Fang (life steal 20%, shadow proc on every third attack), Eternal Night Shroud (permanent shadow damage aura, +15% crit rate)

Materials Farming Guide
Every crafting recipe requires materials dropped in dungeons. Here's the most efficient farming strategy by tier:
| Material Tier | Best Source (Forge) | Best Source (Alchemy) | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Common | D1–D2 (Iron Ore, Wolf Hide) | D1–D2 (Shadow Essence, Nightshade) | Drops frequently; gather passively |
| Uncommon | D2–D3 (Steel Ingot, Moonstone) | D2–D3 (Blood Crystal, Darkroot) | Farm D3 boss for best uncommon yield |
| Rare | D4–D6 (Tempered Steel, Pack-Bone) | D4–D6 (Void Dust, Pure Nightshade) | D5 boss has highest drop rate per run |
| Epic | D7–D8 (Berserker Ore, Ancient Hide) | D7–D8 (Eternal Essence, Void Shard) | Epic mats are rare; join D7 clan runs |
| Legendary | D9–D10 (Mythril, Blood Iron) | D9–D10 (Void Core, Ancient Blood) | Only from D9+ — endgame exclusive |
Farming Efficiency Tips
- Target the dungeon floor above your comfort zone. Farming D4 at level 14 (when you comfortably clear D3) yields better materials than overfarming D3 at full efficiency.
- Dungeon bosses have guaranteed material drops. Always complete the boss floor of a dungeon, not just mob floors. Bosses drop 2–4 materials vs. 1 from regular mobs.
- Don't sell crafting materials below level 15. You will need every uncommon material you have once rare recipes unlock. Hoard until you know your build direction.
- Clan dungeon runs improve drop rates. Running D5+ in a group of 3 or more clanmates activates the "Raid Bonus" — a 15% increase to all material drop rates.
- Blood Moon events double drop rates. Save your AP when a Blood Moon event is announced and spend it during the 24-hour window for maximum material efficiency.
Once you hit level 30 and unlock epic recipes, focus all material farming on a single item slot — your weapon. A single epic weapon outweighs three uncommon pieces across all other slots combined. Complete your weapon first, then fill the armor slots.
Race-Restricted Recipes: What You Can't Craft
Each crafting station has a set of fully locked recipes that the opposing race simply cannot access, regardless of level or materials. These create permanent asymmetry between races:
- Forge-exclusive (Werewolf only): All Pack-set bonuses, Transformation-linked weapons, Moon-phase armor, and all items with pack bonus stats.
- Alchemy-exclusive (Vampire only): All Shadow-set bonuses, life steal armor, void-infused weapons, and all items with shadow damage or drain effects.
These locked recipes are intentional. They ensure your race choice shapes your end-game power profile, not just your early-game lore flavor. A Vampire with a Forge weapon loses access to life steal procs; a Werewolf using Alchemy gear loses pack synergy. The system rewards playing within your race's identity.
