Choose Vampire If...

  • You prefer tactical, ability-rotation combat over raw damage
  • You enjoy solo play and dungeon farming independently
  • PvP is your primary interest — vampires have a slight edge in 1v1
  • You like political faction content (the Crimson Court system is more complex)
  • You prefer to play at night (literally — vampire bonuses peak during in-game night cycles)
  • You want access to the Blood Covenant lore questline

🧛 Vampire Starting Class Options

Blood Mage (caster, high damage), Shadow Assassin (stealth, burst damage), Blood Knight (tank/melee hybrid), Charmer (support/CC). All classes available to vampires; subclasses unlock at level 40.

Choose Werewolf If...

  • You prefer straightforward, high-impact combat
  • Group play and clan content is your focus — Pack Link rewards group play heavily
  • You're new to MMOs — werewolf survivability is more forgiving
  • You enjoy nature-themed content and the Howling Peaks exploration zones
  • You want access to the Moon Pact lore questline and Wolfstone Shard system
  • Your friends are already playing werewolf

🐺 Werewolf Starting Class Options

Moon Warrior (melee DPS), Pack Shaman (healer/support), Berserker (high damage, glass cannon), Tracker (ranged, utility). Transformation enhances all classes differently.

Current Meta (May 2026)

As of the v1.4 patch, the faction balance is approximately 52% vampire / 48% werewolf. The minority bonus currently applies to werewolf players: +8% XP from all sources.

In competitive PvP (top 1% ladder), vampires lead slightly in 1v1 formats; werewolves lead in 3v3 and clan war formats. For casual players, the difference is negligible.

The Trial Character Option

Before committing, you can create a trial character of either race. Trial characters are capped at level 5 and cannot access endgame systems, but they let you experience the basic combat feel of each race. After trying both, delete the trial and create your main character with confidence.

To create a trial character: Account → Characters → Create New → Enable "Trial Mode."
