1 Creating a Clan
To found a clan you need to be at least level 10 and pay a one-time registration fee of 500 Gold. Go to the Clan tab and click "Found Clan". You choose a name (3–24 characters, unique across the server), a two-letter tag shown in brackets before your name, and a motto visible on your clan profile.
Clan names are permanent — choose carefully. The tag can be changed once per 30 days for 200 Gold.
Clans have three access modes:
- Open — anyone can join instantly (good for early growth)
- Apply — applicants send a request that officers approve (recommended after you are established)
- Invite Only — members can only join via a direct invite link
Clan Size Tiers
| Clan Level | Max Members | Treasury Cap | War Slots |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1–5 | 15 | 5,000 G | 1 |
| 6–10 | 25 | 15,000 G | 2 |
| 11–20 | 40 | 50,000 G | 3 |
| 21–30 | 60 | 120,000 G | 4 |
| 31+ | 80 | Unlimited | 5 |
Clan level increases through Clan XP, earned when members complete quests, win PvP fights, and clear dungeons. The clan leader can view XP progress in the Clan Management panel.
2 Roles & Permissions
A clan has five ranks. Permissions are cumulative — a higher rank always includes the permissions of lower ranks.
New members. Can join clan chat, access clan buffs, and participate in Clan Wars.
Promoted recruits. Can invite new recruits and donate to the treasury.
Can accept/deny applications, kick Recruits, and manage buff activation.
Can declare Clan Wars, manage the Throne schedule, and promote up to Lieutenant.
Full control: disband, rename tag, transfer leadership, set war targets, manage all ranks.
Never give Officer rank to players you have known less than 2 weeks. Officers can declare wars — a rogue officer can drain the treasury through war penalties.
3 Clan Buffs & Treasury
The treasury is funded by member donations (up to 500 Gold/day per member). The clan leader and officers activate buffs that apply to all members simultaneously. Buffs have a 24-hour duration and can stack.
| Buff Name | Effect | Cost | Unlock (Clan Lvl) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Battle Cry | +5% ATK for all members | 500 G | 1 |
| Iron Will | +5% DEF for all members | 500 G | 1 |
| Bloodlust | +10% XP from combat | 800 G | 5 |
| Gold Rush | +15% Gold from quests | 800 G | 5 |
| Warpack | +8% ATK/DEF in Clan Wars | 1,200 G | 10 |
| Ancient Rite | +20% XP + +10% Gold (combined) | 2,000 G | 20 |
| Throne Blessing | +25% all stats during Throne week | 3,500 G | 30 |
Activate Gold Rush on the day before server reset so members can maximise daily quest income. Stack it with Ancient Rite on weekends for maximum efficiency.
4 Recruitment Strategy
The quality of your roster matters more than its size. Here is how top clans build their member base:
The 80/20 Rule
In any active clan, roughly 20% of members produce 80% of Clan XP. Identify these players early and promote them to Soldier or Lieutenant to retain them. Give inactive members a 14-day warning before kicking.
Where to Find Members
- World Chat — post a recruitment message once per hour (more is considered spam)
- Faction Chat — recruit within your faction first for aligned goals
- PvP leaderboard — scout the top 100 for unaffiliated players and send direct invites
- Game forums & Discord — post in the #looking-for-clan channel
Minimum Requirements to Post Publicly
Clans that post requirements attract serious players. Recommended minimums for a mid-tier clan:
- Level 20+ to join, level 40+ for Officer consideration
- Daily login (track with Clan Activity panel)
- Minimum 100 Gold/day donation during active weeks
- Participate in at least one Clan War per month
5 Clan Wars System
Clan Wars are 48-hour competitive events where two clans battle for Clan War Points (CWP). Officers declare war by selecting an enemy clan of similar level from the War Board. Both clans must accept within 2 hours, or the challenge expires.
How Points Are Scored
- Kill — defeat an enemy clan member in PvP (+3 CWP)
- Decisive kill — win against a player 5+ levels higher (+5 CWP)
- Dungeon clear — complete a clan dungeon during the war period (+10 CWP)
- Treasury raid — win 3+ kills in 1 hour against the same clan (+15 CWP bonus)
Declaring war costs 200 Gold from the treasury (non-refundable). Losing a war costs an additional 500 Gold penalty. Only declare war when your roster is active.
War Rewards
| Outcome | Gold Reward | CWP Rating Change | Clan XP Bonus |
|---|---|---|---|
| Victory | +2,000 G to treasury | +25 rating | +500 XP per member |
| Draw | No change | ±0 | +100 XP per member |
| Defeat | −500 G from treasury | −15 rating | +50 XP per member |
6 Weekly Throne Competition
Every Monday at 00:00 UTC the Weekly Throne resets. The clan that accumulates the most Clan XP during the week claims the Throne. The Throne grants the winning clan a server-wide visible banner, a unique nameplate effect for all members, and a permanent +1% bonus to all stats for that clan level tier.
Throne Strategies
- Coordinate timed questing: schedule all 40–60 members to run quests simultaneously on Thursday–Sunday when most players are online
- Activate Ancient Rite buff before the weekend push
- Prioritise Dungeon clears — they give 3× the Clan XP of standard quests
- Track the current leaderboard in real time via the Throne tab — know if you are within striking distance
The most Clan XP ever earned in a single week was 2.8 million — achieved by the top-ranked clan during a Blood Moon event with triple-XP active. Plan your Throne pushes around events.
7 Clan Dungeons
Clan Dungeons require 3–5 members to enter simultaneously. They reset every 72 hours and reward Clan Tokens — a currency used in the Clan Shop for exclusive gear, titles, and cosmetics unavailable anywhere else.
Clan Dungeon Tiers
| Dungeon | Min Level | Members | Tokens | Notable Reward |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ashgate Catacombs | 20 | 3 | 50 | Clan Member Title |
| Crimson Fortress | 40 | 4 | 120 | Clan Crest Armor Skin |
| The Abyss Gate | 60 | 5 | 250 | Legendary Clan Weapon |
| Throne of Eternal Night | 80 | 5 | 500 | Exclusive Clan Mount |
Composition Tips
- Always bring at least one high-DEF tank to absorb boss damage
- Werewolves make excellent dungeon damage dealers due to their burst ATK
- Vampires' life steal passives sustain the group through multi-wave encounters
- The Throne of Eternal Night requires coordinated ability timing — solo rushing will wipe the group
8 Leadership Tips for Clan Leaders
Communication is Everything
Active clans have a dedicated communication channel outside the game — Discord is the standard. Post the weekly schedule (buff timings, war declarations, dungeon runs) at the start of each week. Members who know when things are happening participate at twice the rate of those who do not.
The 3-Strike Kick Policy
A fair and transparent inactivity policy prevents drama. A common approach:
- 3 days offline → Lieutenant sends a private message
- 7 days offline with no response → warning posted in clan chat
- 14 days offline → kick with note ("Inactive — always welcome back")
Succession Planning
If the leader goes offline for 30 days, any Officer can claim leadership. To prevent a coup, always have a trusted co-leader who can hold things together when you are away. Use the "Transfer Leadership" button — it is reversible.
The best clans win the Throne not because they have the best players, but because they have the most coordinated players. Coordination beats raw power every time in VvW.
