Reaching max level is the gateway to all endgame content — subclass specialisation, Prestige resets, Mythic dungeon tiers, and ranked PvP seasons. This guide covers the most efficient path from level 1 to level 100 as of the current April 2026 meta.
Fundamental XP Sources (Ranked by Efficiency)
- Daily Quests — highest XP-per-minute return. Always complete all 5 daily quests before doing anything else.
- Weekly Quests — high XP, always complete on reset day.
- Hunting optimal-level monsters — monsters at your level ±3 give max XP. Hunting lower-level monsters drops XP by 50–80%.
- Dungeon clears — best for levels 20–40 and 60–80 where dungeon brackets align with character level.
- Story quests — complete all 8 story chapters as soon as level gates unlock. One-time but substantial XP.
MOST IMPORTANT TIP
Never hunt monsters more than 3 levels below you. The XP penalty is brutal — a level 30 monster gives a level 35 character only 20% of its base XP. Move to new zones as soon as your current zone monsters drop below your level -3.
Level 1–20: Early Game
Focus: complete every available quest before hunting. Quests at levels 1–20 give 3–5× more XP per stamina than equivalent hunting. The Hollow Forest and Crimson Marsh zones are optimal for levels 1–20 monster hunting.
- Complete all story quests immediately when available — they unlock zones and give massive one-time XP
- Owl Sage companion provides +12% XP and +20% quest XP at Lv 10 — use it throughout this phase
- Buy the cheapest HP potions for sustained hunting; dying wastes 10 minutes of stamina regeneration
Level 20–40: Mid Game
This is where dungeon clears become more efficient than pure hunting. Dungeon Tier 1–3 give 1.8× XP compared to equivalent zone hunting, and the 24-hour cooldown means you run each dungeon once per day at optimal efficiency.
- Run Tier 1 dungeon daily (unlocked at level 20)
- Stack dungeon runs with active XP boosts for maximum efficiency
- Unlock subclass at level 30 — the subclass passive immediately improves hunting efficiency
Level 40–60: The Grind Plateau
Levels 40–60 are the slowest bracket. The key is maintaining XP multipliers consistently:
- Login streaks: 7-day login streak gives a 1.5× XP boost on day 7 — time your XP boost potions to coincide with this
- Faction quests: Available at level 40, faction quests give +25% bonus XP on top of base quest rewards
- Weekly raid: Participating in the weekly raid boss gives a flat XP bonus based on damage contribution
Level 60–80: Dungeon Sprint
Tier 5–7 dungeons become available in this bracket and are dramatically more XP-efficient than open-world hunting. Clear your available dungeon tier every cooldown cycle.
Level 80–100: Final Push
XP requirements spike in the 80–100 range. The most efficient approach:
- Daily quests every day without exception
- Weekly challenges (introduced at level 75) — each weekly gives massive XP
- Tier 8+ dungeon runs (Mythic difficulty gives 2.5× XP vs normal)
- Save all XP boost potions for this bracket — you'll need them
The 6-Hour Session Routine
Top-50 players average 6 hours of active play on peak days using this routine:
- 0:00–0:15 — Log in, check daily quests, complete all 5 immediately
- 0:15–1:00 — Run dungeon (with XP boost active)
- 1:00–3:30 — Hunt optimal-level zone with full stamina (50 stamina @ 1 per 6 min = up to 50 hunts)
- 3:30–4:00 — Faction quests if available
- 4:00–6:00 — AFK gathering (passive XP) while doing other activities
XP BOOST TIMING
XP boosts are best used during Raid Boss weeks — you get XP from hunting, raid damage, AND the boss participation bonus all multiplied simultaneously.
