Prestige System — Deep Dive
Prestige unlocks at level 50. Each prestige level reduces your character to level 1 but grants a permanent +2% stat bonus across all stats and unlocks one Prestige skill. Prestige caps at 10 (currently); cap raised in major expansions.
Why prestige
Permanent power growth without level-cap inflation. Prestige bonuses stack across alts on the same account (alts inherit 50% of main's prestige). Endgame Mythic+ requires prestige 5+.
What you keep / lose
Keep: gear, gold, recipes, achievements, mounts, skill ranks. Lose: temporary buffs, current XP, all skill points (refunded). Loadouts persist as templates.
Prestige skills
Each prestige level unlocks one signature skill. Vampire prestige 1: Crimson Awakening (passive +5% lifesteal). Werewolf prestige 1: Pack Bond (passive +10% Init in groups). See full list at /wiki/skills.html.
