Inflation Curves by Server — Live Data
VvW economies inflate ~2.5% per quarter across all servers. Server population, daily-quest completion rates, and active crafter count drive variance. The Crafting Price Index (CPI) — average price of a tier-3 weapon — is published weekly at /api/public/stats.
CPI by major server (Q1 2026)
EU-1: 84 200g (+2.1% QoQ). NA-East: 87 800g (+2.8%). Asia-1: 79 100g (+1.8%). Crafting-rich servers run cheaper; PvP-heavy servers run more expensive.
What drives inflation
Net gold inflow (sources > sinks). New player influx (more gold being earned). Patch-day item resets (legendaries flooding AH temporarily). Bot detection lulls (rare; quickly corrected).
Tools to track
/api/public/stats endpoint exposes CPI, total gold velocity, and active listings per category. /stats.html renders these as graphs. Third-party Discord trackers exist for power users.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does dev team fight inflation?
Quarterly review; rate adjustments to dailies and AH tax.
Can I migrate servers to escape inflation?
Server transfers cost real money and have a 30-day cooldown. Rarely worthwhile.
Why is my server cheaper than EU-1?
Population × crafter density. More crafters = more competition = lower prices.
