How to Report a Cheater in VvW
Quick answer: Use 3 channels to report cheating: (1) in-game Report Player form, (2) Discord #player-reports, (3) support email. Always include: player username, specific behavior observed, screenshot or combat log. Reports are investigated within 3–7 days.
The 4 Steps
Gather evidence first
Screenshot or screen-record the suspicious behavior. Useful evidence: combat logs showing impossible damage numbers, movement that looks automated (perfectly timed, no variation), unusually fast leveling patterns. "They beat me" is not evidence of cheating.
Report via in-game form
Navigate to /game/feedback.html → select "Report Player". The form auto-fills your account ID and timestamp. Enter the accused player's username, select cheat type (bot/exploit/hacking/inappropriate), describe what you observed, and attach your screenshot. This goes directly to the moderation queue.
Cross-report in Discord #player-reports
Post in the Discord #player-reports channel. Community moderators cross-reference reports — if multiple players report the same account independently, it fast-tracks the investigation. Don't tag @mods unless it's ongoing and causing active disruption.
Wait for investigation — you'll be notified
Investigations take 3–7 business days. False positives happen — some "suspicious" behavior (e.g. fast dungeon clears) is just skill or good builds. You'll receive an in-game notification when action is taken or if the report is closed as unfounded. Do not re-report the same player within 7 days.
What Counts as Cheating
- Bots / automation: Third-party scripts performing hunts, crafting, or PvP automatically
- Exploits: Using known bugs to duplicate items, gain infinite gold, or bypass cooldowns
- Account sharing: Multiple players operating one account to maintain 24/7 presence
- Real-money trading (RMT): Selling in-game items/gold for real currency outside the official shop
- Alt account abuse: Creating multiple accounts to feed resources to one "main"
What Does NOT Count as Cheating
- High DPS builds with optimal gear (Warlord Set + Rage Runes legally obtained)
- Playing many hours per day (dedication, not cheating)
- Winning every PvP fight (skill and build optimization)
- Fast dungeon clears (optimized party composition)
- Using the mobile app and desktop simultaneously (allowed — one account, different devices)
Reporting Etiquette
False reports have consequences. Filing a report because someone beat you, or to troll a rival clan, will result in your own account receiving a warning. Moderation reviews reporter history — serial false reporters lose reporting privileges.
