Anti-Cheat & Bot Prevention

Every action in Vampires vs. Werewolves is validated server-side. Combat outcomes are computed by our authoritative battle engine — the client never decides who wins. This means no speed hacks, no damage injection, and no result manipulation.

We run automated anomaly detection on gold earnings, XP gains, and kill rates. Accounts that exceed reasonable thresholds are flagged for human review. Confirmed cheaters are permanently banned — without refund.

Gold farming via bots is limited by a server-enforced daily earnings cap (500 + level × 150 gold per day). This cap applies to all sources including hunt wins and dungeon rewards, making large-scale automated farming economically pointless.

Fair PvP Matchmaking

PvP targets are filtered to characters within ±5 levels of your own. A level 1 player can never be attacked by a level 50 veteran, and vice versa. The ranking system uses a standard ELO model — new players are seeded at 1000 and grow through wins against comparable opponents.

Gold stolen in PvP is capped at 20% of the defender's gold (maximum 10,000 per fight). You cannot lose more than 20% of your gold in a single attack, and the stolen amount is logged in a public audit trail.

Transparency & Open Formulas

We publish the combat formulas that govern every fight. Damage, critical hits, and life steal are all calculated from documented, deterministic rules. There are no hidden multipliers, no RNG weighting based on premium status, and no "whale boosts" applied behind the scenes.

Formula highlights:

  • Damage = max(1, STR × 1.5 − DEF × 0.6) × random(0.85–1.15)
  • Crit chance = LCK / 200 (10 LCK = 5% crit)
  • Crit multiplier = ×1.75
  • Vampire life steal = 15% of damage dealt
  • Werewolf regen = 3% of max HP per turn

If you believe a fight result was incorrect, you can replay the full round-by-round log from your battle history page.

Reporting Violations

If you encounter a player you believe is cheating, botting, or abusing exploits, use the in-game report button on their profile page, or contact us via the contact form. Include the player's name and a description of what you observed.

Reports are reviewed within 72 hours. We take every report seriously — fair play depends on the community holding each other accountable.

The Developer Pledge

We built Vampires vs. Werewolves because we love browser RPGs and believe they can be sustainable without ruining the experience for free players. We pledge that any future monetisation will be reviewed against this page first. If we ever introduce something that contradicts our fair play principles, we will update this page — openly and honestly — and explain why.
