How enchanting works in VvW: Enchant gear from +1 to +10. Each level has a success rate (100% at +1 down to 40% at +10). Failed enchants above +5 drop one level, not to zero. Mages benefit most from INT runes; Warriors from STR+DEF combos.
Enchantment adds powerful stat bonuses to your gear — a fully enchanted T4 set is 40% stronger than bare T4. This guide covers the full enchantment system.
- Enchantment levels: +1 to +10 — each level adds 5% stats
- Materials: Rune Fragments (crafted or dropped) + Gold
- Success rates: +1 to +5 = 90%+, +6 to +8 = 60%, +9 to +10 = 35%
- Failsafe: downgrade on failure — you never lose the item, only fall one level
- Best rune types: Power Rune (flat damage), Resilience (damage reduction), Speed (crit/haste)
- Class-specific: Blood Mage → Magic Power Runes, Dark Knight → Resilience Runes
- Budget tip: enchant to +7 first — +8 to +10 is very expensive for marginal gain
- Gold cost estimate: full +7 set = ~8,000 Gold, full +10 = ~40,000 Gold
Enchant to +7 before Prestige — it's cost-effective and provides significant power. Save +10 attempts for your Prestige 2+ runs when you have more Gold income.
