Dungeon Difficulty Tier Explained
Quick answer: Five dungeon difficulty tiers: T1 (Lv15+, easy), T2 (Lv25+, mid), T3 (Lv35+, hard), T4 (Lv45+, raid-prep), T5 (Lv50+ Mythic+ entry). Tier-up when you can clear current tier in <70% of timer with no wipes. Gear gates: each tier requires the previous tier's gear at minimum.
Tier-1 (Lv15+)
Solo or duo. 3-min clears. ~600 XP + low-tier mats. Tutorial-tier.
Tier-2 (Lv25+)
Duo or trio. 5-min clears. ~1200 XP + tier-2 mats. Most-farmed for gold.
Tier-3 (Lv35+)
Trio or quartet. 8-min clears. ~2400 XP + tier-3 mats + chance for legendary materials.
Tier-4 (Lv45+)
Quartet (recommended). 10-min clears. Pre-raid gearing.
Tier-5 / Mythic+
Lv50+ + prestige. Timed runs. Keystone progression. Detailed: M+ wiki.
When to tier up
